QA Engineer / Technician Manufacturing
Location: Lancashire
Salary:per annum
We are seeking a detail-oriented QA Engineer/Technician to join our manufacturing team in Lancashire. This role is critical in ensuring that products meet quality standards customer specifications and regulatory requirements throughout the production process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct in-process and final inspections of manufactured products
- Develop and implement inspection and test plans (ITPs)
- Identify document and investigate non-conformances and quality issues
- Support root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
- Work closely with production and engineering teams to improve quality and reduce defects
- Ensure compliance with industry standards quality systems and health & safety requirements
- Maintain accurate quality records reports and documentation
- Assist with internal and external audits
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a QA/QC role within a manufacturing environment
- Strong understanding of quality standards (e.g. ISO 9001) and inspection techniques
- Experience using measuring equipment (e.g. calipers micrometers gauges)
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Relevant technical qualification (HNC/HND or equivalent preferred)
