The Materials & Procurement Planner is responsible for procurement material planning and delivery coordination to ensure timely availability of materials for production.

Responsibilities:

Managing supplier product quality design specifications and manufacturability to ensure compliance with all contractual obligations and compliance with Valmet Vendor Quality Standards.
Maintain assigned Purchase Orders (PO) from the initial order through receipt and invoice processing.
Develop and manage business relationships with suppliers and subcontractors.
Track deliveries scheduled to forecast inventory levels and respond by accelerating or delaying deliveries required.
Responsible to maintain and optimize inventory levels.
Work with the design and engineering teams to find new materials required in the development of new products and submit to engineering department new materials to reduce costs.
Support continuous improvement and cost-saving initiatives.
Coordinate logistics and expedite urgent shipments.

Expectations:

A colleges degree in engineering technology (Mechanical Industrial or Aerospace) or supply chain management with prior work experience in supply management and manufacturing purchasing.

Good communication and organization skills

Advanced skill with computer and ERP/MRP systems.

Responsable des achats de la planification des matériaux et de la coordination des livraisons afin dassurer la disponibilité ponctuelle des matériaux pour la production.

RESPONSABILITÉS:

Gérer la qualité la conception les spécifications et la fabricabilité des produits fournisseurs afin dassurer la conformité aux obligations contractuelles et aux normes de qualité des fournisseurs Valmet.

Maintenir les bons de commande assignés du moment de la commande initiale jusquà la réception et au traitement des factures.

Développer et gérer les relations daffaires avec les fournisseurs et sous-traitants.

Suivre les livraisons prévues afin de prévoir les niveaux dinventaire et réagir en accélérant ou retardant les livraisons nécessaires.

Assurer le maintien et loptimisation des niveaux dinventaire.

Collaborer avec les équipes de conception et dingénierie pour trouver de nouveaux matériaux requis pour le développement de nouveaux produits et proposer des matériaux permettant de réduire les coûts.

Soutenir les initiatives damélioration continue et de réduction des coûts.

Coordonner la logistique et accélérer les expéditions urgentes.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUISES:

Diplôme collégial en technologie du génie (mécanique industriel ou aérospatial) ou en gestion de la chaîne dapprovisionnement avec expérience préalable en gestion des approvisionnements et achats en environnement manufacturier.

Bonnes compétences en communication et en organisation.

Compétences avancées avec linformatique et les systèmes ERP/MRP.
