Overview:
The person in this role demonstrates a high level of professionalism prioritizing the architectural vision and strategic development of Bunges integration landscape. Responsibilities include development of complex enterprise-level integration solutions acting as a recognized subject matter expert within the BT Enterprise Architecture & Digital Enablement department. This role demands applying deep technical expertise to solve problems without clear precedent anticipating business challenges and continuously recommending process product or service improvements to drive significant impact across the organization. The Principal Integration Engineer will be instrumental in defining and advancing integration standards fostering innovation and ensuring the scalability reliability and security of critical data flows across Bunges global operations.
Main Accountabilities:
- Integration Development: Design development and deployment of complex scalable and secure integration solutions using modern integration platforms such as MuleSoft Anypoint Platform or SAP Integration Suite including APIs microservices and event-driven architectures.
- Strategic Solution Design: Drive the analysis of complex integration requirements translating high-level business needs into comprehensive technical specifications and innovative solution designs that align with Bunges long-term strategic objectives.
- Enterprise API & Event-Driven Strategy: Implement enterprise API and event-driven integration strategies promoting reusability modularity and adherence to established standards and best practices.
- Advanced Problem Resolution: Apply advanced expertise to diagnose and resolve highly intricate technical problems within the integration landscape often addressing situations where no clear precedent exists.
- Continuous Improvement & Innovation: Act as a thought leader identifying opportunities for process product or service improvements and proactively recommending and implementing new technologies and methodologies to enhance Bunges integration capabilities.
- Technical Guidance & Mentorship: Provide expert technical guidance and mentorship to other integration engineers and team members fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous professional development.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Serve as a principal technical liaison collaborating with diverse internal and external stakeholders including business units other IT departments and external vendors to ensure robust and effective integration solutions.
- Performance & Governance: Establish and enforce best practices for integration testing monitoring performance optimization and comprehensive technical documentation ensuring operational excellence and compliance with architectural governance.
Education/Experience:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Software Engineering Information Systems or a closely related field
- 6 years of progressively responsible experience in integration engineering solution architecture or a related technical role demonstrating deep technical leadership and expertise.
- Extensive hands-on experience with enterprise-grade integration platforms and technologies.
- Mastery in designing and implementing complex integration solutions using leading platforms (MuleSoft Anypoint Platform)
- Deep expertise in API-led connectivity API design (RAML OpenAPI) API security and API lifecycle management.
