Analytics EngineerPosition Overview
The Data Engineer Supply Chain / Planning & Forecasting designs builds and maintains the data foundation that enables accurate demand and supply planning inventory optimization and scenario-based forecasting. This role focuses on ensuring planning-critical data (product process routings alternates constraints and performance signals) is trusted governed accessible and actionable across planning tools and analytics environments.
Key Responsibilities
Planning Data Pipelines & Integration
Build and maintain scalable pipelines that deliver planning-ready datasets for forecasting supply planning inventory targets and performance management.
Integrate data across manufacturing planning sourcing and operational systems to support end-to-end planning visibility.
Analytics Enablement for Planning & Forecasting
Build datasets and analytical views that support planning KPIs forecast governance and performance measurement (e.g. planning health data health adherence
Create or maintain dashboards and monitoring tools that surface exceptions and improve planning decision speed and quality.
Stakeholder Partnership & Continuous Improvement
Partner with schedulers analysts and business stakeholders to translate supply chain questions into robust data products.
Identify and implement internal process improvements (automation scalability reliability and reduced manual work).
Train and coach others on data governance structures and best practices.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Strong SQL skills (ability to write SQL) and working proficiency in Python; ability to work with large datasets and draw sound conclusions.
Experience with visualization / analytics tools such as Tableau (or comparable).
Strong analytical ability (cause/effect thinking selecting key drivers tying processes together).
Solid understanding of manufacturing/process complexity and supply chain fundamentals especially as they impact planning.
Clear communication skills and ability to influence across teams; strong organization and execution.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with planning platforms and reporting ecosystems (internal planning tools and data warehouse environments) and master data management concepts.
Background in planning manufacturing operational analytics or supply chain technology roles.
