About this role:
- Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Database Engineer for the Chief Technology Office within the Database and Middleware Operations(DMO)team.
In this role you will:
- Lead or participate in database management activities including designing highly complex logical and physical databases
- Lead highly complex data modeling mapping integration and capacity planning efforts
- Perform the planning research design implementation maintenance and control of server class databases
- Design and implement security solutions including Center for Internet Security benchmarks and auditing
- Design and certify next generation database technologies
- Consult with and advise management and multiple clients on high impact data or database management issues influencing strategic direction
- Provide technical leadership and recommendation into the future direction of database technology
- Develop management policies procedures standards and best practices
- Collaborate and consult with peers colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
Required Qualifications:
- 4 years of Database Engineering experience or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience training military experience education
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience with Business Intelligence / Analytics tools (Microsoft PowerBI Grafana Tableau etc.)
- Proven history of analytical skills
- Experience in UNIX/Linux (RHEL or Solaris) and Windows Server
- Experience with Oracle or SQL Server
- Exposure to Golden Gate
- Exposure to exadata
- Experience inVirtualizedenvironments(VMware)
- Experience usingServiceNowor similar enterprise incident/problem management tools
- Ability to follow documented procedures to complete the tasks at hand
- Documentation skills - experience documenting and explaining the approach or methodology that allowed them to solve a problem or reach a conclusion
Job Expectations:
- This position will require 12x7 on call support
- This position currently offers a hybrid work schedule
- Ability to work on-site at one of the posted locations
- This position is not eligible for Visa sponsorship
