This role is essential to ensuring reliable safe and efficient wastewater treatment operations for both new and existing fabs. As a Facilities Wastewater Engineer you will influence system design support construction and commissioning and partner closely with operations to keep complex treatment systems performing at a high level. Youll collaborate across engineering construction and manufacturing teams while helping shape the longterm sustainability of our Boise operations.
Responsibilities:
Provide engineering support for design construction commissioning and operation of semiconductor wastewater reclaim and zero liquid discharge systems
Review and validate designs calculations equipment submittals RFIs shop drawings and construction models
Partner with operations and technicians to monitor system performance using SPC IoT and SCADA tools
Support system modifications upgrades solving problems and vendor coordination
Drive safety quality reliability and cost improvement initiatives across wastewater systems
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in Chemical Engineering Environmental Engineering Chemistry or a related field
Three or more years of experience supporting wastewater or industrial treatment systems
Working knowledge of safety laws environmental compliance and hazardous energy control
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively across technical teams
Preferred Qualifications:
Masters degree in engineering or Professional Engineer certification
Three or more years of facilities or plant operations experience in semiconductor manufacturing
Experience with commissioning capacity planning and system performance optimization
Experience working with vendors on equipment design documentation and service support
