What Youll Do

  • Own assembly process quality for the BCDC.
  • Define and maintain critical quality characteristics for stack to formation.
  • Develop and maintain quality documentation (process flow control plans risk analyses etc.) for battery assembly operations as it relates to quality engineering.
  • Lead internal alignment verification including stack dimensions visual/camerabased defects and correlation of alignment with downstream performance.
  • Execute hipot test strategy and analysis for assembled cells/modules.
  • Integrate CT scanning into quality control to predict early failures.
  • Support welding quality and analysis including critical weld/joint parameters destructive testing and classification of defects.
  • Maintain measurement systems for key attributes and characteristics.
  • Develop sampling and test strategies for new campaigns of materials.
  • Partner with manufacturing and process engineers for capability requirements errorproofing and inline monitoring.
  • Lead structured problem solving (e.g. root cause analysis 5Why fishbone 8D etc.) for defects and quality events related to battery assembly.
  • Train and coach technicians and operators on critical quality characteristics inspection standards and defect recognition.
