Position Overview:
St. Philip & St. Augustine Catholic Academy is seeking a dedicated and passionate Part-Time Reading Interventionist to support students in developing strong literacy skills for the school year. The ideal candidate will provide targeted reading instruction assess student progress and collaborate with teachers to ensure all learners receive the support they need to succeed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver small-group and one-on-one reading interventions for students in grades K-2
- Assess student reading levels and monitor progress regularly
- Develop and implement individualized or small-group intervention plans
- Collaborate with classroom teachers to align intervention strategies with core instruction
- Communicate effectively with teachers administrators and families regarding student progress
- Maintain accurate records of student performance and intervention outcomes
- Participate in faculty meetings and professional development as appropriate
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Education Reading Literacy or a related field
- Valid teaching certification preferred
- Experience in reading instruction or intervention programs
- Knowledge of evidence-based literacy practices and assessment tools
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Commitment to supporting the mission and values of Catholic education
Schedule:
- Part-time school days from 8am-1pm
Compensation:
- Competitive hourly rate based on experience and qualifications
