Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) is seeking interest from psychiatrists to support the Intensive Case Management Team at Lions Gate Hospital HOpe Centre. The role focuses on providing coordinated psychiatric care for individuals with substance use disorders and ensuring continuity of care between community and acute settings.

You will work within a multidisciplinary team that includes psychiatrists nurses peer support workers occupational therapists social workers clinical counsellors clients and families.

This position follows a blended billing model (sessional and fee for service) with physicians responsible for their own billings.

Qualifications

Education Licensing & Experience:

  • Current College of Physicians of BC (CPSBC) Full
  • Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA) - Mandatory
  • Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Canada (FRCPC) - Mandatory

Additional qualification requirements:

  • A Medical Degree and eligibility for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia.
  • Eligibility for a clinical faculty appointment with the University of British Columbia Faculty of Medicine is ideal.
  • Candidates must meet credentialing requirements of Vancouver Coastal Health.
  • Additionally the candidate should have:
  • Demonstrated ability working as a member of an interdisciplinary mental health team.
  • Experience with MHSU
