Job Summary

GFL Environmental is looking for a safe and experienced Equipment Operator to join our growing team out of our Kenora ON site operations. The successful candidate will safely operate various equipment including front end loaders to load and move waste addition must also possess an AZ/DZ license to operate Front End and Roll Off trucks.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate Roll-off / Tractor Trailer / front load trucks and wheel loader in a safe and efficient manner.
Conduct daily equipment inspections and routine maintenance.
Perform minor mechanical repairs and assist maintenance staff when required.
Ensure materials are handled loaded and transported according to safety and environmental standards.
Maintain accurate logs and documentation of vehicle/equipment use and service.
Support yard operations as needed including cleanup and snow removal.

Knowledge Skills & Competencies:

Valid Class DZ drivers license (AZ preferred).
Minimum 2 years of heavy equipment and/or truck operation experience.
Experience in waste management recycling or aggregate industries.
Certification or training in heavy equipment operation or maintenance.
Strong mechanical knowledge and basic repair ability.
Safety-first mindset with proven reliability and initiative.
Ability to work outdoors year-round in varying weather conditions.
Team-oriented attitude with good communication skills.
