Unit & Compensation
- 12-bed CVICU with 1:1 or 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratios.
- Competitive hourly rates:
- Starting: $33.77/hr
- 5 Years Exp: $38.28/hr
- 10 Years Exp: $42.86/hr
- 17 Years Exp: $49.06/hr
- Shift Differentials: $4.50/hr Nights $1.50/hr Weekends
- Sign-On Bonus: $5000 Days $7500 Nights
- Relocation Assistance available on a case-by-case basis.
About the Role
Join a premier cardiovascular program at a 221-bed acute care facility and Level II Trauma Center. The Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) provides care for patients undergoing open-heart surgery interventional cardiology and electrophysiology procedures. This 12-bed unit is known for its collaborative culture high-acuity patient care and emphasis on clinical autonomy.
As a CVICU RN you will play a critical role in providing advanced patient-centered care in a fast-paced high-stakes environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert critical care for patients requiring continuous monitoring and complex treatment interventions.
- Serve as a patient advocate ensuring privacy informed consent and compassionate care.
- Conduct rapid assessments and respond effectively to emergent situations to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Educate patients and families on medications post-operative care and ongoing treatment plans.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of recent ICU experience in an acute care setting.
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or RN Diploma.
- Current Florida RN license or Multi-state/Compact license (must obtain FL license within 60 days if applicable).
- Certifications:
- BLS (AHA) within 30 days of start
- NIH Stroke Scale within 30 days of start
- ACLS and PALS within 6 months of start
- Nonviolent Crisis Intervention within 6 months of start
