We are looking for a postdoctoral scientist to model the relationship between environmental and biological factors on cognitive development. They will develop implement and report in academic articles research on lifespan neurocognitive development in large-scale (longitudinal) neurocognitive datasets using innovative (e.g. psychometric neuroimaging) methodology.
One central question involves whether and how environmental factors influence changes in cognitive performance and/or neural structure/function that govern the rate of cognitive development in childhood and/or old age. The post holder will have an interest in theory-based developmental cognitive (neuro)science be supervised by Dr. Nicholas Judd and be embedded within Professor Kievits lab. They will work with international collaborators to capitalize on the recent rapid increase in the availability of large lifespan cohorts.
Independence is key the post holder is expected to take the lead in developing analytic questions testing and comparing developmental models and prepare reports for journal publication with the post holder as first author.
Your activities and responsibilities include:
- To analyse large scale developmental datasets focused on (neuro)cognitive development.
- To keep up to date with developments in the field proposing or implementing changes of direction as necessary.
- To prepare the research for publication.
- To work in collaboration with others to achieve joint research projects.
- To present their work at seminars and at external meetings.
- To contribute to the Donders scientific community through collaborations workshops and talks.
Place of work
