Wage Range: $15.50/hour
Description of the Position: (Purpose of the Position):
The objective of the Northfield College Tutor program is to motivate and guide Northfield students academic success through weekly tutoring sessions. Tutoring is provided in three elementary schoolsand one middle school within the Northfield School District. This position is expected to serve as a positive role model for children in the Northfield School District. Tutors when hired will be paired with a teacher primarily based on schedule availability.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Commit to work scheduled hours every week as a tutor
- Orient with the supervisor (teacher) to understand classroom dynamics and supervisor expectations.
- Assist individual students or small groups with academic needs
- Meet all program expectations including paperwork dress code background check code of conduct and attendance policies
- Maintain clear communication with supervisors each semester (i.e. email office visits)
- Participate in program evaluation/end of year survey
Qualifications: (Education/Experience/Skills)
- Reliable and patient with a desire to motivate and assist students in grades K-8
- Effective communication schools
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Ability to receive and give instruction
