The Opportunity

We are seeking a motivated Warehouse Technician with the drive and desire to be relied upon to safely and efficiently ensure the delivery of critical parts and materials across our U.S. footprint. This role reports to the U.S. Asset Performance team and is responsible for shipping and receiving activities both physically and transactionally using Microsoft D365 as well as inspecting storing issuing and delivering a wide range of materials equipment and supplies - including high value and heavy items - in support of business operations. The position is based at our U.S. warehouse in Brookings SD and requires working core operating hours of Monday through Friday 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

What youll do

  • Receive materials into inventory both physically and transactionally in D365 verify condition and count accuracy vs. purchase order documentation. Ensure all material documentation is filed appropriately
  • Prepare and ship materials by weighing packaging and preparing necessary shipping documents. Determine most efficient method of shipment utilizing the companys third-party logistics providers
  • Stage project materials and meet established delivery deadlines
  • Manage equipment repair and refurbishment programs for failed parts returned to the warehouse
  • Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts cranes and pallet jacks to unload load and reposition materials
  • Conduct Cycle Counting and Physical Inventory per an established schedule; report and reconcile discrepancies
  • Comply with all company policies procedures and controls including but not limited to safety health and environmental policies
  • Monitor and maintain physical condition of warehouse including completing numerous regulatory and best practice driven inspections
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain Operations and Maintenance and Project teams to effectively manage and optimize order fulfillment rate.
  • Support critical spare part shipments outside of core business hours

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school graduate or equivalent required.
  • Located within 1 hour of facility to handle and address critical material requests after hours
  • Carry or lift items up to 50 lbs
  • Demonstrates excellent organizational/interpersonal skills and safety as the utmost priority

Preferred Qualifications

  • Forklift certification experience operating larger (15000 lbs) equipment
  • Previous warehouse experience.
  • Familiarity and experience with Microsoft D365 or equivalent inventory systems

This position requires candidates to:

  • Have current valid authorization to travel internationally (including Canada)
  • Successfully complete pre-employment medical screening including drug and alcohol testing
  • Have and maintain a valid drivers license and provide a drivers abstract (record) for review
  • Travel to other company locations for temporary assignments meetings or training (estimated at 5% of work schedule)
  • Be part of an on-call rotation and provide emergency support as required
