Position Summary
Navitas Partners LLC is seeking an experienced Server Recovery Specialist to lead and coordinate data recovery efforts for a critical server outage. The role involves assessing a failed server environment developing a structured recovery plan and overseeing the execution of data restoration processes.
The system in question is a Dell PowerEdge R520 server configured with seven disks in a RAID array (RAID type currently unknown). Two drives have become non-responsive resulting in system downtime. The selected candidate will play a key role in restoring data integrity and minimizing operational disruption.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform a comprehensive assessment of the server and storage environment
- Diagnose RAID configuration and identify failure points
- Develop a detailed data recovery and restoration plan
- Coordinate and manage data recovery efforts including third-party vendors if needed
- Ensure data integrity security and compliance throughout the recovery process
- Provide status updates documentation and final recovery reporting
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in server and data recovery particularly with RAID environments
- Hands-on expertise with enterprise server hardware (preferably Dell systems)
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in high-pressure scenarios
- Experience coordinating complex recovery efforts across teams or vendors
Preferred Qualifications
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent
- Experience managing recovery projects in enterprise or government environments
