Summary
The primary function of an ElectricalMaintenance Technician is to support production operations throughmaintainingelectrical systems on industrial machinery.
Essential Functions
- Eliminateproblems through Root Cause Analysis
- Interacting with other departments to ensure the proper functioning of all systems in the facility.
- Comply withall safety and internal requirements set by OSHA NFPA 70Eand the Companypolicies.
- Troubleshoot and general repair of the building and facilities.
- Assist Maintenance Department with other duties and assignments asrequired.
Additional Responsibilities
- Accomplishes all tasks asappropriate.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Extensiveindustrial electrical experience.
- Minimum offiveyearsverifiable industrial electricalmaintenanceexperience.
Special Skills
- Must havea basic working knowledge ofProgrammable Logic Controllers and Human Machine Interfaces.
- Must havean extensive working knowledge ofOhms law and its applicationsVariable Speed Drives PID Loop Controllers andrelaylogic basedcontrol schemes
- Must have the ability to understand andutilizeall functions of a multimetermegohmeter and other specializedelectronictest equipment
- Must have good mathematical aptitude both in knowledge and practice.
- Must be capable ofidentifyingtechnical problemswith little or noassistanceand preventing and/or resolving issues rapidly.
- Must be ableto read and interpretmachine electricalschematics.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds asrequired.
- Ability to effectively communicate with cross-functional peers as well asupper levelmanagement.
- The ability to make independent judgments andutilizeproblem solving skills.
- A/C Inspections and maintenance.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Ability for strongattention todetail in following procedures and technical specifications.
- Must be able to work flexible shifts and overtime.
