Job Summary

We are working closely alongside with Birmingham Childrens Trust to assist with the appointment of a Domestic Abuse Education Lead on a 2.5-months contract highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay: 16.53 - 21.68 per hour

Summary:

The Domestic Abuse Education Lead is responsible for overseeing the smooth delivery of Operation Encompass in Birmingham. You will collaborate with police and business support to ensure domestic abuse alerts are sent to schools in a timely manner. A core part of this role involves providing expert advice guidance and training to education colleagues ensuring they are equipped to effectively support children affected by domestic abuse.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with police and business support to manage the timely distribution of domestic abuse alerts to educational settings.
  • Offer professional guidance and support to education staff to improve outcomes for child victims of domestic abuse.
  • Scrutinize multiple data systems simultaneously to ensure accurate information sharing and safeguarding.
  • Produce complex written reports and records that account for decisions taken and interventions provided

Qualifications:

  • A relevant qualification in Social Work a Level 4 qualification in working with complex families or an equivalent professional credential.

Essentials:

  • Proven experience working within a professional domestic abuse service or team with a deep understanding of domestic abuse dynamics and their impact on children.
  • Extensive experience in assessing and managing domestic abuse risk and vulnerability.
  • Ability to draw on policy and procedures to inform professional judgements and respond actively to safeguarding risks.
  • A demonstrable commitment to ongoing personal development and a willingness to undertake further relevant training

  • You should be available to work immediately or at a short notice.
  • You should have right to work in U.K
  • This role requires an Enhanced DBS
