To grow our Engineer team in the UK we are looking for an Assistant Engineer to join us. Working on a wide range of projects youll co-create on some of the most prestigious infrastructures programmes in the UK. Youll also be supported by our engineers on your on-going professional development (Chartership) with a tailored plan to achieve your career aspirations.
Your key responsibilities will be:
- Delivering a wide variety of geotechnical engineering design tasks in accordance with project requirements including collating and understanding data modelling and running analyses preparing calculations and reports and working with colleagues to deliver consistently high-quality project work
- Undertaking engineering geological mapping and modelling at site scale and contributing to desk studies ground investigation reports and geotechnical design documentation
- Supporting and supervising ground investigations
- Reviewing and checking design calculations and technical drawings prepared by peers
- Contributing to the dissemination of engineering good practice and implementation of our in-house tools such as the carbon calculation tool
- With the support of your project manager planning and prioritising your workload reporting back on progress against a project budget and programme
- Being responsible for delivering your own work to a high technical standard ensuring accuracy through a diligent and careful approach to self-checking
- Attending site visits or client meetings

On top of that you will:
- Have a bachelors or masters degree either in Civil/Structural/Geotechnical Engineering (BEng BSc Meng MSc)
- A clear aspiration to work towards Chartered Engineer status.
- Ideally have some experience of working in an engineering environment
- Be able to demonstrate an understanding and enthusiasm for engineering geology or geotechnical engineering and have a personal commitment to technical excellence
- Ability and willingness to work in a diverse and multi-disciplinary team
- Good communication skills and teamwork
