Job Summary
Johnson Security Bureau Inc. is seeking to add a dedicated Security Officer to our team.
Position: Security Officer
Location: New York City NY
Work Type: Full-Time and Part-Time Employment Opportunity Available
Pay Rate: $18.00/hour
Experience: 2 years security experience
Shifts Available:
- Morning Times will vary
- Afternoon Times will vary
- Overnight Times will vary
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor premises through regular patrols to ensure safety and security
- Control access to the facility by verifying identification and directing visitors if needed
- Maintain a visible presence to deter unauthorized activity and ensure order
- Respond promptly to emergencies incidents and alarms contacting emergency services when necessary
- Observe and report suspicious behavior safety hazards or security breaches
- Operate and monitor security systems including surveillance cameras and fire alarm panels
- Provide assistance information and directions to visitors and staff in a professional manner
- Complete detailed incident reports daily activity logs and documentation as required
- Collaborate with team members and follow established security procedures and protocols
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of security experience preferred
- Valid New York State State Security Guard License
- CPR and First Aid certification
- High School Diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations
- Basic proficiency with smartphones tablets and security systems
- Flexible schedule including availability for weekends evenings and overnight shifts
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
- Ability to pass an extensive background check and drug screening
