Were looking for a Computer Architecture Intern to join the AI Core Architecture team at Snap Inc!
What youll do:
Our cutting-edge event-based Neural Processing Units (NPUs) are revolutionizing the way data is processed in augmented reality applications providing unprecedented energy efficiency and speed. You will:
Implement map and simulate selected neural rendering algorithms on our NPU.
Perform performance benchmarking and analysis documenting and presenting findings to the team.
Identify hardware and compiler/training improvements that make our NPU more efficient for neural rendering workloads.
Develop proof-of-concept implementations to validate proposed optimizations.
Knowledge Skills & Abilities:
Strong foundation in computer architecture and digital design concepts.
Familiarity with deep learning AI algorithms and neural networks.
Familiarity with computer graphics and rendering.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python C or similar.
Experience with deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch and/or TensorFlow is a plus.
Experience with computer graphics technologies (e.g. Unity Unreal Engine) is a plus.
Experience with event-based processors and sensors is a plus.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team and communicate ideas effectively.
Minimum Qualifications:
Currently enrolled in a PhD program in Computer Science Computer Engineering Electrical Engineering or a related technical field
Graduating no earlier than December 2026
Must be able to start in office in May or June of 2026 for a 13-week internship
