Location: Gainesville GA
Duration: 13 Weeks (Contract)
Schedule: Day Shift Monday Friday
Hours: 7:45 AM 4:45 PM (5x8)
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to support a busy outpatient Neurology and Ophthalmology clinic. This role involves assisting providers with specialized procedures managing patient flow and delivering high-quality patient-centered care in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a neurology and ophthalmology outpatient setting
- Assist providers with neurological and vision-related exams and procedures
- Prepare patients for diagnostic testing such as EMG (Electromyography) and EEG (Electroencephalography)
- Obtain and document vital signs medical histories and patient symptoms
- Administer medications and treatments per provider orders
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EMR system
- Educate patients on procedures treatment plans and follow-up care
- Monitor patient conditions and report changes to providers promptly
- Prepare and maintain exam rooms ensuring cleanliness and proper stocking
- Support clinic workflow and patient flow (approx. 14 patients/day)
- Adhere to infection control and safety standards
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to ensure coordinated care
- Provide compassionate and professional patient support

Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of LPN experience within a relevant specialty
- BLS Certification (AHA)
- Strong clinical organizational and communication skills
