What Youll Be Doing
- Operate heavy equipment on a variety of job sites consisting of milling paving base repair overlay
- Maintains housekeeping of job site and facilities ensures equipment is in good working order
- Performs routine inspection and preventative and corrective maintenance on equipment if within abilities; escalates issues that are not
- Routinely assists other members of the crew as needed including shoveling and cleanup
- Fuel oil and grease to ensure proper function of equipment and complete associated paperwork
- Performs other related activities as assigned
What Are We Looking For
- High School Diploma (or equivalency) AND prior relevant job experience
- CDL license (A or B) with Tanker endorsement is preferred
- Valid/Clean Drivers License
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
- Must have the ability to work a varied schedule of day shift night shift and weekends due to construction contracts
- Ability to operate and maintain heavy equipment (paver skid steer asphalt roller experience preferred)
- Working knowledge of methods materials and tools used in typical site work grading storm/sanitary/water pipe installation etc
- Working knowledge of hazards and safety precautions
Conditions of Employment
- Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination drug/alcohol screen and background check.
Work Environment
- Role operates primarily in environments where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment inclement weather heat cold humidity and elevated noise level.
