Job Summary
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Engineer Opto-Mechanical designs for various components sub-systems and systems.
- Collaborate with Operations Engineering to provide robust manufacturable designs.
- Interpret various customer design request-conceptualize and communicate a potential solution.
- Model and evaluate various CFD Thermal and Structural simulations.
- Illustrate present and document all design concepts and simulations.
- Define testing procedures of various optical and mechanical systems and sub-systems.
- Research relevant topics and ideas for potential engineering solutions and new products.
- Investigate root causes of engineering and processes that impact production and productivity.
- Produce detail models and drawings for manufacturing for customer build to print orders.
- Collaborate with operations as required for design/detail reviews.
- Support sales and operations for customer inquiries and customer product development.
- Design detail tooling and fixturing and assemblies for manufacturing.
- Create innovative solutions to design problems/issues as they relate to mechanical function of a component or sub-system.
- Design and develop process improvement solutions as required and requested by operations.
- Manage new product orders from start to finish.
- Incorporate change management solutions to operations.
- Perform mechanical and optical test in lab environment as required.
Education & Experience
- Education: 4 year Mechanical Engineering Degree BS minimum requirement
- Experience: 0-3 years

- Able to life <50lbs
- Able to focus on computer 6 hours/day

Office manufacturing floor and testing lab environment
