Job Summary
Position Summary:
Ballard Truck Center isseekingahighlymotivated and qualified applicants to fill the unique position of CDL Vehicle Transporter/Truck Driver. This positionis responsible forvehicle delivery and returning vehicles toBallardlocations may alsoprovide assistance tothe service department totest drive trucks.
This is a casual/on-call part-time truck driving job that is perfect for licensed CDL Class B or CDL Class A drivers seeking supplemental income and looking to work anywhere from 0 to 25 hours a week based on business needs.
This position will be located at the Hermon Mainelocation.
Major Responsibilities:
Followappropriate safetyprocedures while driving trucks to destination ofBallardlocation or customer locations
Check vehicles to ensure that mechanical safety and emergency equipment is in good working order report to location manager if any issues are found
Report vehicle defects accidents traffic violations or damage to the vehicles
Other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor
Qualifications:
2 years of driving experiencerequired
2 years of a clean DMV motor vehicle recordrequired; DOT Medical Certification required
CDL Class B licenserequired
CDL Class A license preferred
Abilityto read and follow written instructions isrequired.
Ability to work independently customer service skills organizational skills and a positive attitude arerequired
Regular predictable full attendance is an essential function of the job
Willingness to travel as necessaryworkthe required schedule work at the specific location position is regulated by the Department of Transportation ordesignatedas safety sensitive by the company and the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner isrequired. Associates must have the ability to accept responsibility for their own safety as well as the safety of others.
