Job Summary
This position is located in Annapolis core working hours are 8:00am to 5:00pm Monday through is an exempt position. INTRODUCTIONThe Quality Manager will develop implement and oversee a complete Quality Management System (QMS) program at the contract site. The incumbent is responsible for identifying and correcting problems throughout the entire scope of operations and ensuring that work performed is conforms to contract requirements. The incumbent will act as a liaison with Site Quality team Melwoodâs Facilities Management Services team and internal staff. PHYSICAL QUALIFICATIONSThe incumbent must be able to stand 80% of the work time and sit 20% must be able to lift / carry 50 pounds and push / pull 50 pounds. These requirements are necessary in order to complete facilities and grounds and operate applicable equipment. He / she must be able to climb stoop kneel and reach in order to climb stairs and clean high and low areas; must be able to communicate both orally and in writing with supervisors staff co-workers etc. Seeing and depth perception are required in order to inspect work areas. QUALIFICATIONSBA/BS in a related field and a minimum of five yearsâ experience in the quality control/quality assurance or equivalent combination of education and experience. A minimum of three years in a lead role or management position. Proficiency in drafting and implementation of quality management plans. Strong technical and observation skills and attention to detail are necessary. Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office software applications and extremely detail-oriented with respect to documentation and communication. Must be able to work days evenings and weekends. Must have a valid driverâs license and the ability to pass a âsecretâ clearance.
