As a Reconciliation Specialist supporting diverse investment portfolios across international markets. This role plays a key part in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of investment data contributing directly to Manulifes mission of delivering trusted financial solutions. You will collaborate with global stakeholders gain exposure to complex securities and build valuable experience within a highperforming growthoriented organization.
Position Responsibilities
- Perform daily monthly and adhoc reconciliations of cash balances cash transactions and securities holdings for assigned General Account investment portfolios
- Investigate and resolve reconciliation breaks by coordinating with custodial banks and internal stakeholders
- Provide timely responses to internal client and portfolio management inquiries
- Maintain accurate documentation and complete signoffs in accordance with agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and SOX requirements
- Support process improvements crosstraining initiatives and assist team members and management as required
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Finance Accounting Investment Management or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years experience in investment reconciliations within a banking securities administration or financial services environment
- Working knowledge of securities instruments and settlements foreign exchange and banking processes
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel Word Outlook)
- Strong attention to detail analytical skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines
Preferred Qualifications
- Pursuing or willing to pursue CISI or an equivalent professional designation
- Knowledge of complex securities and investment accounting
- Experience with investment or backoffice systems custodian reporting platforms Bloomberg or reconciliation systems
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
- Demonstrated initiative adaptability and ability to work effectively in a teamoriented environment
