Job Summary

Overview

We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused CDL Driver to transport materials equipment and supplies to and from job sites and yards. This role plays a critical part in supporting construction operations by ensuring timely and secure deliveries. The ideal candidate has a valid CDL license a clean driving record and experience operating commercial vehicles in construction or similar environments.

Responsibilities

Safely operate commercial vehicles (e.g. dump truck flatbed lowboy or trailer) to transport materials and equipment
Load and unload trucks using proper methods to prevent shifting damage or injury
Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and DOT compliance
Maintain accurate delivery logs mileage reports and trip documentation
Follow delivery schedules GPS directions and instructions from dispatch or supervisors
Secure loads using chains binders tarps or straps as needed
Comply with all DOT state and federal transportation regulations
Assist crews with labor or site tasks when deliveries are complete (as needed)
Report any mechanical issues delays or safety concerns promptly
Maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned vehicle
Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

Valid Class A or B CDL (depending on vehicle type)
Clean driving record and current DOT medical card
2 years of commercial driving experience preferred
Experience hauling construction materials or equipment is a plus
Familiarity with load securement tie-down procedures and safe operating practices
Ability to lift 50 lbs and assist with loading/unloading when required
Strong communication and time management skills
Ability to work long hours including weekends and evenings as needed
