Be a part of a world-class academic healthcare system UChicago Medicine as a Program Coordinator at our DCAM clinic. This position is a 100% onsite opportunity. Here you will work alongside our Neuroscience team. You will need to be based in the greater Chicagoland area.
At UChicago Medicine we have assembled a team of neurological experts who are highly skilled in evaluating and treating the most complex and challenging nervous system disorders with and without surgery.
The Program Coordinator is responsible for the development implementation maintenance and evaluation of the program in support of the organizations mission vision and values. The Program Coordinator will provide neurosurgical care coordination through scheduling appointments tracking patients through their care plans and communicating directly with referring providers. The Program Coordinator will support for accreditation needs program improvement initiatives and assessing program performance. The Program Coordinator is responsible for program awareness through managing the website social media channels external communication letters and community engagement.
Essential Job Functions
- Coordinates pre-visit overview call with all new patients and provides educational materials in advance of their initial visit.
- Partners with clinical team to ensure coordination of patient care services including scheduling appointments arranging testing ensuring preoperative tasks are completed and coordinating with other health care providers.
- Serves as ongoing point of contact and coordination during the surgical evaluation process.
- Supports the daily operations of the clinical program ensuring that all activities are carried out in a safe efficient and effective manner.
- Sends letters to referring providers directly after patient visits.
- Overseas maintenance of website.
- Manages social media accounts and posts new content weekly.
- Participates in community engagement to foster program awareness.
- Develop internal and external communications including presentations correspondence and other written materials.
- Partners with Business Development to establish and maintain referral relationships.
- Assist in developing strategic documents and plans in coordination with Surgical Director and Service Line Leadership.
- Helps coordinate educational events and materials related to the Spine Surgery program.
- Project manages efforts to obtain/maintain program accreditation and any improvement initiatives.
- Serves as a liaison with accreditation organization.
- Monitors program key performance indicators via pulling various reports making recommendations for improvement as needed.
- Receives feedback from patients/care team and implements changes as appropriate.
- Assists in the development and implementation of clinical program goals and objectives.
- Maintains and provides regular reports on patient outcome data in clinical database.
- Maintains accurate and up-to-date clinical program records files and documentation
- Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree
Preferred Qualifications
- Masters degree
- 3-5 years of experience in a clinical setting

Compensation & Benefits Overview
UChicago Medicine is committed to transparency in compensation and benefits. The pay range provided reflects the anticipated wage or salary reasonably expected to be offered for the position.
The pay range is based on a full-time equivalent (1.0 FTE) and is reflective of current market data reviewed on an annual basis. Compensation offered at the time of hire will vary based on candidate qualifications and experience and organizational considerations such as internal equity. Pay ranges for employees subject to Collective Bargaining Agreements are negotiated by the medical center and their respective union.
