Job Title: Zscaler Private Access (ZPA) Network Engineer - Hybrid

Job Description:
As a Zscaler Private Access (ZPA) Network Engineer you will design implement and support secure application access using ZPA as part of a Zero Trust Network Access strategy. You will translate legacy network and VPN-based access models into policy-driven application-level access patterns ensuring secure auditable and reliable connectivity while collaborating closely with network security identity and application teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design implement and maintain ZPA connectivity including App Connectors Server Groups Application Segments and access policies.
- Collaborate with network security identity and application stakeholders to enable secure private application access.
- Analyze legacy network and VPN access models and translate them into Zero Trust application-level access designs.
- Support application onboarding by validating network paths ports protocols and dependencies.
- Configure and enforce least-privileged ZPA access policies with minimal operational disruption.
- Troubleshoot ZPA access connectivity routing and connector health issues.
- Support migration activities from legacy access models to ZPA solutions.
- Ensure configurations are documented auditable and aligned with security and compliance standards.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation standards diagrams and operational runbooks.
- Coordinate with vendors and platform support teams to resolve complex issues and optimize stability.
Required Skills Experiences Education and Competencies:
- Strong background in enterprise networking including routing firewalls DNS and traffic analysis.
- Hands-on experience implementing or supporting Zscaler Private Access or similar Zero Trust platforms.
- Deep understanding of Zero Trust Network Access principles and application segmentation.
- Ability to assess complex legacy environments and design scalable access models.
- Experience working in regulated or compliance-driven enterprise environments.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent documentation communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
- Familiarity with security and governance frameworks.
The hourly range for roles of this nature are $60.00 to $80.00/hr. Rates are heavily dependent on skills experience location and industry.
