Job Summary

Title :: Data Ops Engineer (Azure Data Factory)

Bellevue WA

Contract

Qualifications

3 6 years in data/cloud operations or data engineering with hands-on Azure Data Factory.

Strong Azure Synapse experience (dedicated/Serverless SQL pools; pipeline orchestration; performance tuning).

SCOPE scripting (Cosmos) for large-scale data processing; U-SQL familiarity is a plus.

Azure Cosmos DB exposure (RU planning throughput/cost trade-offs consistency partitioning) - added advantage.

Proficient with Log Analytics/KQL SQL and run-time diagnostics across ADF/Synapse/ADLS.

Problem solving & analytical skills: root-cause isolation signal/noise filtering hypothesis-driven debugging and impact quantification.

Scripting (PowerShell/Python) for checks reconciliations backfills and automations.

CI/CD with ADO/Git; disciplined change/CAB practices; clear incident comms.

Nice-to-Have (Engineer)

Databricks or Spark; data quality frameworks; cost/FinOps tuning on IR/Synapse; basic Python data tooling.

Engineer:

Keep mission-critical ADF/Synapse pipelines healthy. Youll use SCOPE scripting KQL/SQL and automation to detect anomalies early restore service fast and harden the platform. Cosmos DB experience is a plus.
