Position Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid Drivers License required.
• Follow safe work practices in accordance with the Hensel Phelps safety and health program.
• Must be able to take initiative and ask questions.
• Possess a keen attention to detail and be able to follow instructions.
• Workers must provide their own safety footwear.
• Must be able to communicate effectively and professionally with co-workers and stakeholders.
• Strong mathematical reasoning and quantitative skills.
• Must be reliable and punctual.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experienced in construction layout blueprint reading and shop drawing reading.
• Experience in concrete carpentry
• OSHA 10 Certification.
• CPR & First Aid Certification.

Essential Duties:

• Responsible for the assembly installation bracing and removal of concrete forms and temporary support systems used for concrete placement.
• Use assorted hand tools including tenâpound sledgehammers shovels picks handsaws skill saws and drills to support concrete construction activities.
• Perform layout and measurement for concrete construction including form lines elevations and material placement.
• Read blueprints drawings and sketches to fully grasp project requirements.
• Effectively operate small hand and power tools to assist with a variety of worksite projects.
• Take measurements and calculate the size and amount of material needed including cutting shaping and smoothing materials used for concrete formwork chutes and related assemblies.
• Assist with erecting scaffolding ladders and access systems required for concrete construction above ground level.
• Load unload identify and distribute building materials machinery and tools according to project plans and specifications.
• Maintain a clean organized jobsite including sweeping work areas and properly storing materials.
• Promote a safe work environment and communicate jobsite hazards including helping to secure the jobsite at the end of each workday.
