Temporary STEM Summer Camp Instructor (Math)

Job Summary
The primary purpose of the position is to design and deliver engaging hands-on math instruction that strengthens elementary and middle school students foundational math skills while building confidence and curiosity in mathematics. Work Hours: Day Camp: Monday Friday from 8:00 a.m. 5:00 p.m.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelors degree in Elementary Education Mathematics Education or a closely related field. Prior experience with STEM summer camps math clubs or enrichment programs.
Preferred Years Experience Skills Training Education
Three (3) years of experience working with elementary or middle familiarity with North Carolina Mathematics Standards particularly foundational skills in number sense operations fractions measurement and geometry. Experience using hands-on inquiry-based or project-based learning activities to support math instruction. Skills and Competencies Ability to design and facilitate engaging age-appropriate math activities that promote conceptual understanding and problem-solving. Strong classroom management skills in a camp or enrichment environment. Ability to encourage collaboration mathematical reasoning and student confidence. Clear communication skills and a positive supportive approach to working with students.
