Job Summary
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking a skilled and reliable Facilities Technician to support the maintenance and operation of building systems within a commercial or healthcare environment. This role is responsible for ensuring a safe efficient and fully functional facility through preventive maintenance troubleshooting and timely repairs.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections maintenance and repairs on building systems including HVAC electrical plumbing and mechanical equipment
- Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues implementing effective solutions in a timely manner
- Respond promptly to work orders and emergency maintenance requests
- Conduct preventive maintenance to reduce downtime and extend equipment lifespan
- Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities inspections and repairs
- Ensure compliance with safety standards building codes and facility policies
- Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for specialized repairs and installations
- Assist with facility upgrades renovations and equipment installations
- Monitor system performance and report any irregularities or potential issues
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of maintenance tools and work areas
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; technical certification preferred
- Minimum of 1 year experience in facilities maintenance or a related field
- Basic knowledge of HVAC electrical plumbing and mechanical systems
- Ability to safely operate hand and power tools
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Flexibility to work various shifts including nights and weekends as needed
