Milton Keynes (Hybrid 2 days in office)

Were working with a well-established and forward-thinking Building Services Design Consultancy looking to appoint a Building Physics Consultant to support their expanding sustainability and building performance team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a passion for building performance and energy modelling to work on a diverse range of projects delivering high-quality sustainable design solutions.

The Role

As a Building Physics Consultant you will:

Deliver building performance analysis across a range of projects
Support the design team with energy-efficient and sustainable solutions
Carry out modelling and simulation to inform design decisions
Work closely with clients architects and engineers
Assist in the delivery of compliance and sustainability strategies
Contribute to project reports and technical documentation

Technical Responsibilities

Dynamic simulation modelling using IES VE
Part L compliance (SBEM) and EPC production
Overheating assessments (TM52 / TM59 / Part O)
Operational energy modelling (TM54)
Daylight and thermal comfort analysis
Support with low and zero carbon strategies

About You

Degree in Building Physics Environmental Engineering Sustainability or similar
Experience in a building physics or sustainability role
Proficiency with IES VE (essential)
Good understanding of UK Building Regulations and compliance
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Able to attend the Milton Keynes office 2 days per week
