Were looking for a German Content Manager to become Famlys biggest expert on the German Kita landscape - and use that expertise to build the kind of brand that makes Famly famous country wide

And who are Famly

Famly is a software platform for the grown-ups in a young childs life to connect share their workload and learn about early childhood. Basically Famly makes life easier for early educators Kita managers and families across more than 10000 sites - so that they can get back to what matters.

Were looking for someone who has worked in or with kitas in Germany perhaps as Kita Leitung Fachberatung or within träger leadership. Youll be Famlys eyes and ears in the German Kita world staying close to customers through research interviews and in-person events. Whats more youll serve that insight to our product and commercial teams and turn it all into a content strategy that makes Famly famous country-wide. Youll decide what we publish why and how it reaches the right people. That means sourcing and partnering with influential voices in the Kita space writing and producing content across formats - articles thought leadership guides video - and thinking distribution into every single piece.

Were looking for someone based in Berlin or willing to work remotely from elsewhere in Germany.

What youll be doing

  • Becoming the go-to expert on the German Kita market across the whole Famly team knowing what staff care about what problems they need solving how they talk and whats changing in the sector

  • Proactively surfacing market and customer insights to the commercial product and marketing teams

  • Owning the German content strategy - planning what we publish in what format and how it gets to our audience

  • Sourcing and partnering with influential external voices in the Kita space to create content that reaches their audience and ours

  • Writing and producing blog posts thought leadership guides and video content

  • Writing product updates release notes and customer communications for German customers

  • Being a recognisable credible presence in the German early childhood sector

Job requirements

Youll thrive in this role if you:

  • Have real knowledge of the German Kita landscape - through working in or alongside Kitas as Fachberatung consulting or similar (strongly preferred)

  • Are a strong researcher and interviewer able to extract and synthesise insight from customers and the market

  • Write well across formats - long and short

  • Understand editorial and content fundamentals: strategy SEO distribution and channels

  • Are proactive high-agency and happy to coordinate independently across teams

  • Have a massive bias for action and getting stuff done

  • Genuinely care about early childhood education and the people who work in it

And who are Famly

Youre probably wondering at this stage and Famly are... Well it all began when our co-founder Henriks daughter was ready to start at daycare. He couldnt believe the amount of work being done on paper - and how distant he felt from his first child during the day. The paper parent books they exchanged once a month just werent cutting it. Together with his friend our co-founder and CEO Anders they set about solving that.

These days the 170 of us building Famly talk about trying to do one thing. Giving children the best possible start to life. Or rather making it easier for the 10000 nurseries and childcare centers who use Famly every day to that on our behalf.

We do it with the worlds first Early Childhood Platform software that brings hundreds of thousands of parents closer to their childs day while theyre away from them. We also make financial pedagogical and planning tools for more than 104000 childcare professionals in the UK US Germany and 15 other countries saving them hours and reducing their admin stress.

Ultimately that gives them more time and headspace for the little ones that really matter.

The interview process looks like:

  • A 1-1 interview with Matt Sr. Director of Brand and Comms

  • A short assignment

  • An assignment review and case interview with Matt Levke our German Marketing Manager and Gaspard our Director of Revenue Marketing.
