| Summary of Position: Physical therapists help patients with injuries and chronic health conditions restore their mobility manage pain and enhance their overall quality of life. For example individuals seeking assistance with lower back pain recovering from an ACL tear or rehabilitation following surgery would consult a physical therapist. The job description for a physical therapist includes evaluating and treating musculoskeletal conditions designing personalized treatment plans administering therapeutic exercises and educating patients on fitness and injury prevention strategies. Physical therapists also collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care and document progress according to state regulations.
