Job Summary
R.J. Corman is seeking a Mechanical Team Member to join our car repair team in Miami FL.
Responsibilities:
- Railcar FRA inspections.
- Mobile repairs to surrounding areas.
- Railcar repairs including mechanical air and electrical/pneumatic air dump doors.
- Performs preventative maintenance on railcar fleet.
- Maintenance of assigned vehicle.
- General repairs of other equipment if necessary.
- Troubleshoots and repairs equipment as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Maintain a safe and clean work area.
Job Requirements:
- Mechanical experience.
- Some electrical experience preferred.
- Knowledge of power and hydraulic tools.
- Welding and oxygen/acetylene torching/air arc gouging experience required.
Physical Requirements:
- Requires constant standing walking climbing stairs and ladders and balancingin a safe manner
- Requires frequent stooping kneeling and crouching
- Able to frequently lift and carry equipment weighing up to 30lbs
- Able to push and pull with 100lbsof force the force required to push/pull hand brakes
