Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough patient assessments including medical history reviews and physical examinations.
- Utilize diagnostic tools such as MRI CT scans X-rays and other imaging modalities to identify spinal disorders.
- Develop and discuss appropriate treatment plans with patients including surgical and non-surgical options.
- Conduct advanced surgical techniques including decompression fusion and disc replacement.
- Monitor patients recovery and manage postoperative complications.
- Collaborate with physical therapists and other healthcare providers to optimize patient recovery.
- Work closely with a multidisciplinary team.
- Participate in case discussions and team meetings.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in spinal surgery and interventional techniques.
- Maintain accurate and timely medical records.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies medical regulations and quality standards.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of clinical protocols.
Qualifications:
Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree.
- Completion of an accredited residency program in Orthopedic Surgery or Neurosurgery.
- Completion of a Spine Surgery fellowship.
- Board certification in Orthopedic Surgery or Neurosurgery.
- Valid medical license to practice in Wisconsin.
