Job Description:
Airbus Americas Inc is looking for a Project Manager to join our team based in Mobile AL.
The Project Director contributes directly to the Airbus Industrial strategy by defining and managing the site projects identifying the key deliverables goals milestones and resources with key stakeholders. With a deep knowledge of project management methodologies and experience in Portfolio of Projects and Projects Management you will support the site strategy to achieve the Top Company Objectives by effectively leading cross-functional teams and determining appropriate tools and resources needed to achieve project milestones and measure key performance indicators. This position will report to the HO Site PMO.

Our Engineers at the Airbus U.S. Manufacturing facility take our aircraft from concept to customer delivery working with production teams on every aspect of assembly from managing technical information quality control maintenance tasks and health & safety along flowlines and flightlines. Your Working Environment:
On Airbus Way you will find the Airbus U.S. Manufacturing Facility for commercial aircraft. Opened at the Mobile Aeroplex at Brookley in 2015 the facility produces A320 Family aircraft and added a second product line for the A220 in 2019. Your Challenges:
Project Portfolio Management30%
Support alignment of company strategy with site priorities and ensure a portfolio of site projects are performed with overall objectives contributing to the Top Site Objectives of the Mobile Manufacturing Facility.
Lead project governance and steering for a portfolio of projects in Mobile with Senior Leadership Teams securing the site deployment roadmap (architecture ensure roadmap content) in line with Site Strategy and Transformation initiatives.
Monitoring deployment of a portfolio of business improvement / transformation roadmaps and reporting to the senior leadership team of the site.
Leads preparation and drumbeat of a portfolio of Site projects and operational performance reviews.
Leads and facilitates workshops on dedicated topics in complex situations .
Manage project risk identification assessment and review.
Project Management Execution40%
Lead Project management of key projects in different Site Functions - leverage Project management skills in the frame on adhoc Top Management Requests (Head of Function COO CEO) to ensure project outcomes are delivering tangible benefits for the company and enabling sustainable and long term performance.
Lead execution of projects from Site Functions to secure project objectives deliverables and milestones are achieved and in line with Site strategy.
Provide guidance to functions on effective local project management and governance within the department.
Support the set up of Mobile FAL Project Management Organization30%
Support the establishment of the central Project Management Organization by acting as coordinator for a list of transversal initiatives.
Drive in the Project Management Center of Competence the upskilling program of the PMO community in Mobile across functions.
Act as community manager to ensure PMOs on site are regularly exchanging best practices and standard processes methods and tools are used.
Work with the Airbus global BX network to identify and select and deploy the tools processes and systematic approaches to achieve project goals.
Your Boarding Pass:
Bachelors degree in Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering Business Management preferred or equivalent experience
Proven experience (8-10 years) in Project Management Officer and Project Management Activities
Solid knowledge and understanding of manufacturing processes production management and industrialization principles.
Experienced in leading Transformation and Improvement projects
Good communication skills active listening and a proactive approach to problem solving & decision making
Proven stakeholder Management skills Leadership Assertiveness to influence and challenge the status quo.
Experienced in LBIP and Project Management methodologies in Airbus: project establishment gates execution and project follow-up.
Demonstrated capability in project estimating task scheduling scope control and stakeholder management cost management
Excellent computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Word Excel and Powerpoint.
Position will interface with all levels of the Mobile FAL organization this requires a clear understanding of confidentiality and professionalism.
Coaching skills and experience with communication competences
Aeronautical manufacturing basics
Ability to inspire and give meaning
Demonstrated excellent written interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
Strong attention to detail excellent organizational follow through
English negotiation level
Planisware tool. Knowledge of Qlik sense APP Sheet would be a plus.

Travel: able to travel overseas and domestically sometimes for extended periods of time. Working outside hangers in changing locations.
Walking: able to walk through office and production areas around flight line and airstrips and sometimes on uneven indoor and/or outdoor surfaces.
