Patient Financial Specialist Home Health Full Time (40 hourweek)

Job Summary
Responsible for analyzing Home Health & Hospice medical records to ensure supporting billing documentation is in place certification periods are met and clinical documentation is within industry guidelines and Medicare requirements; reviews documentation and applies appropriate code for billing; obtains insurance verification and prior authorizations; monitors and works daily billing errors and A/R; participates in the creation and implementation of standard work for daily weekly and monthly document verification and chart audits. Provides patient scheduling for field clinicians.
Qualifications :
What is required...
- High school diploma or GED
- One year of patient account billing
What is preferred...
- AA or Bachelors Degree
- Previous experience in medical billing with commercial insurance and Medicare/Medicaid
- Previous experience in a medical records environment
- Previous medical office experience with exposure to medical records scheduling high volume phone systems and medical transcription
- Experience in home health and hospice coding and billing
- Certified Coder
- Bilingual; English/Spanish
Additional Information :
Wage: Wage range currently starts at $22.07/hour and goes up to $33.44/hour. Actual wage will be based on years of applicable experience.
FTE: 1.0 40 hours/week
