Maternity Cover Conveyancer

Job Description

NXTGEN are pleased to be working with a well-established regional law firm in their search for an experienced Conveyancer to join their busy property team based in Lowestoft on a maternity cover basis. This Conveyancer role will see you joining a structured and supportive team managing a steady caseload of residential conveyancing matters from instruction through to completion.

The successful Conveyancer will play a key role in maintaining workflow across the team during this period handling their own caseload while working closely with colleagues to ensure transactions continue to progress efficiently.

Working within a busy and collaborative environment this role offers the opportunity to step into an established caseload with immediate responsibility.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing a caseload of residential conveyancing matters from instruction through to completion
• Handling all aspects of the conveyancing process including exchanges completions and post-completion matters
• Ensuring transactions are progressed efficiently in line with agreed timescales
• Liaising with clients agents and third parties throughout the transaction process
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date file records in line with regulatory requirements
• Supporting the wider team where required to ensure continuity of service

The Successful Candidate Will Have

• Experience managing their own residential conveyancing caseload
• Qualification as a Solicitor Legal Executive (CILEx) or Qualified Conveyancer
• Strong understanding of the conveyancing process
• Ability to manage a busy workload and pick up an existing caseload effectively
• Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships with clients and stakeholders

This role is a full-time (Part-time may be considered for the right person) 1-year fixed-term contract position office-based in Lowestoft.

Salary offered is dependent on experience
