Job Summary
Senior Accountant

Role Purpose & Success Outcomes
Ensure accurate financial records compliant reporting and reliable programme finance support to enable effective delivery of organizational activities.
- Accurate and timely monthly closing that meets agreed timelines
- Strong documentation and internal controls that meet audit standards
- High-quality financial and donor reporting with minimal error rates
- Effective collaboration with programme teams to support operational needs
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain general ledger accuracy reconciliations and supporting documentation
- Execute monthly closing processes in line with internal timelines
- Prepare donor and internal financial reports
- Manage payroll calculations payments and PIT finalization
- Ensure compliance with Vietnamese statutory regulations and internal policies
- Support internal and external audits with complete and accurate documentation
- Coordinate with programme teams and cross-functional stakeholders on finance matters
Candidate Profile
Education & Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or related field (Non-negotiable)
Professional Experience
- 35 years of accounting experience (Required)
- Experience in audits and financial reporting (Required)
- Experience in NGO/INGO environment (Nice to have)
- Experience in donor reporting (Nice to have)
- Payroll and PIT handling experience (Nice to have)
Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of accounting standards and financial reporting (Required)
- Proficiency in accounting systems such as Xero or similar (Required)
- Working proficiency in English (written and spoken) (Required)
Knowledge Domain
- Vietnamese accounting regulations and statutory compliance (Required)
- Financial controls audit processes and reporting frameworks (Required)
- Programme finance operations in donor-funded environments (Nice to have)
