If you wish to gain a qualification in water or wastewater operations your future career could be right here. Complete a nationally recognised Certificate II in Water Operations (1 year) then the potential opportunity to continue for 2 more years with your Certificate III - all paid for by us!

We have a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic and committed person to join the Bunbury team as a Trainee Operator on an initial 12 month contract with the opportunity for extension.

About the role

  • As trainee with us you will be expected to be able to carry out the full range of work carried out by a Water Industry Operator with the appropriate training and supervision
  • Youll receive a high standard of training and development in your role from experienced Operators and Managers so youll learn from some of the best in the industry
  • You will be handling dangerous goods performing chlorine changeover and taking water samples
  • In your role you will complete heavy manual tasks in awkward postures at times including clearing blocked networks repairing pipework and maintaining water assets.
  • Tasks vary from lifting gatic lids turning valves accessing chambers using hand tools such as shifters chainsaws

Your skills and experience

For this role we are looking for great talent with:

  • Seeking locals to Bunbury so youll never be too far from where you know and love living
  • Youve successfully completed Year 10 with a preference for a completion of year 12 and dont feel like Uni is for you
  • You must be working towards your Drivers Licence or hold a current WA C Class Drivers Licence
  • Strong Awareness of Safety
  • Enjoy working with your hands some work involves heavy manual tasks precision work in a workshop or field environments and some handling of dangerous goods Dont worry youll get all the training youneed to keep safe
  • Positive can-do attitude will see you do well
