Were looking for a mechanically minded problem-solver to join a fox-valley manufacturing team as a Mechanical Estimator. In this role youll be responsible for creating accurate estimates for mechanical equipment sales along with related clerical tasks.
Estimating machinery is a semi-automated process using proprietary softwarebut this is not a plug-and-play role. Youll need a solid understanding of mechanical equipment so you can visualize how systems are built before entering data into the program.
That skill becomes even more important when estimating custom OEM equipment. Your ability to mentally build the equipment and think through how it functions is key to success.
What Youll Do
Create accurate estimates for mechanical equipment sales
Interpret drawings sketches and conceptual designs (ability to read & interpret machinery blueprints)
Collaborate with applications and sales teams
Handle additional clerical and documentation responsibilities as needed
What Were Looking For
Strong mechanical background (engineering mechanical design or hands-on assembly experience)
Ability to visualize mechanical systems and components
Comfort working with software-driven estimating tools
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Electrical background is a plus but not required
