Job Summary
CORE PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
The Multimedia Editor is responsible for creating engaging high-quality visual content for client marketing and communication needs ensuring all deliverables align with the client brief and brand standards. This is an onsite role based in Bree Street Cape Town CBD.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Produce visually compelling content using tools such as Adobe Creative Suite Blender and DaVinci Resolve.
- Apply advanced photographic techniques including camera operation lighting and image composition.
- Collaborate closely with marketing and product teams to deliver on project requirements.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
- Maintain a high level of attention to detail to ensure brand consistency.
- Communicate ideas effectively and incorporate feedback constructively.
- Stay up to date with industry trends tools and best practices.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
- Manage and oversee the day-to-day studio workflow.
- Ensure a clear understanding of client briefs and see projects through to final delivery.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve the highest quality in imagery and video production.
- Perform problem-solving throughout the production process.
- Maintain studio equipment and ensure proper handling and care.
- Consistently produce high-quality visuals that meet brand standards.
- Deliver projects on or before agreed deadlines.
- Demonstrate creativity and innovation in visual solutions.
- Work effectively with team members and stakeholders.
- Apply strong technical skills across relevant software platforms.
- Incorporate feedback effectively to improve outputs.
- Stay informed on industry trends and evolving best practices.
- Ensure image quality through retouching colour correction alignment and deep etching.

- Timely delivery of projects in line with workflow plans.
- Quality and consistency of images and videos (measured by feedback and rework).
- Effectiveness of communication.

COMPETENCIES REQUIRED
Knowledge
- Advanced knowledge of RAW image processing and retouching.
- Expertise in Capture One processing and colour grading.
- Strong understanding of digital file handling and real-time quality review.
- Advanced technical knowledge of cameras lighting and studio setup.
Experience
- Minimum 5 years experience in digital imagery file handling and related software.
- At least 3 years experience in photography principles (lighting composition white balance etc.).
- Strong digital operating experience.
- Advanced RAW processing skills including custom colour profiles and style verification.
- Proven time management and prioritisation abilities.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
