As a Senior Lead Software Engineer at JPMorganChase within the Infrastructure Platform you are an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance build and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure stable and scalable way. Job responsibilities
- Regularly provides technical guidance and direction to support the business and its technical teams contractors and vendors
- Develops secure and high-quality production code and reviews and debugs code written by others
- Drives decisions that influence the product design application functionality and technical operations and processes
- Serves as a function-wide subject matter expert in one or more areas of focus
- Actively contributes to the engineering community as an advocate of firmwide frameworks tools and practices of the Software Development Life Cycle
- Influences peers and project decision-makers to consider the use and application of leading-edge technologies

Required qualifications capabilities and skills
Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5 years applied experience
- Experience in Computer Science Computer Engineering Mathematics or a related technical field
- 10 years of professional software engineering experience with 3 yrs of proven track record of technical leadership
- Expert-level proficiency in Java full-stack development including RESTful API design and implementation Java 11 Spring Boot Spring Framework Hibernate/JPA
- Strong front-end development skills in React and Solid understanding of relational databases (PostgreSQL MySQL Oracle)
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS Azure or GCP) and containerization (Docker Kubernetes)
- Proficiency with CI/CD pipelines version control (Git) and DevOps practices Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and tools (JIRA Confluence)
Strong understanding of software design patterns SOLID principles and clean code practices microservices architecture and distributed systems
- Proficiency in AI-assisted coding using tools such as GitHub Copilot or similar AI pair-programming assistants and Ability to evaluate validate and refine AI-generated code for quality security and performance
Strong prompt engineering skills with the ability to craft effective prompts for Large Language Models (LLMs) to generate accurate efficient and secure code
- Experience leveraging AI tools to accelerate development workflows automate repetitive tasks and enhance team productivity
Preferred qualifications capabilities and skills
- Demonstrated ability to balance hands-on technical work with leadership responsibilities
- Proven track record of delivering complex projects on time and within scope
Excellent communication presentation and interpersonal skills
