About the Role

Wynn Odom Ford is seeking a dedicated and experienced Service Manager to lead our service department. We are looking for a hands-on leader who can maintain high customer satisfaction mentor a team of technicians and advisors and ensure the shop runs at peak efficiency.

While Ford experience is a significant plus it is not a requirement for the right candidate who possesses a strong background in automotive service management and a commitment to excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Department Leadership: Oversee daily operations of the service department including workflow management and staff scheduling.

  • Customer Experience: Maintain a high Fix It Right the First Time rate and address customer concerns with professional proactive solutions.

  • Financial Performance: Drive profitability by managing labor rates monitoring expenses and meeting monthly performance goals.

  • Team Development: Recruit train and motivate service advisors and technicians; ensure all staff stay up-to-date on Ford STARS certification and training requirements.

  • Compliance & Safety: Ensure all Field Service Actions (Safety Recalls and Compliance Alerts) are handled according to manufacturer standards.

  • Inventory Management: Work closely with the Parts Department to ensure seamless coordination for repairs.

Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in automotive service management or as a senior service advisor.

  • Brand Knowledge: Previous experience with Ford Lincoln systems and warranty procedures is preferred.

  • Skills: Strong communication organizational and leadership skills. Proficiency with DMS (Dealer Management System) software is essential.

  • Mindset: A customer-first attitude with a roll-up-your-sleeves approach to problem-solving.
