Shift Overview: Monday - Thursday four 9-hour days 6:30am-4:00pm and Friday 6:30am-10:30am
Assemblers within Saber Frame Up are responsible for applying their job knowledge and skills to work proficiently at every station on the assembly line. This includes the ability to identify discrepancies within the process that may affect equipment performance or product quality. Assemblers will be responsible for building various components in the manufacture of assemblies and sub-assemblies of heavy-duty vehicles.
Your Impact:
This role directly supports our firetruck product line a product that makes a real difference in communities across the world.
These duties are not meant to be all-inclusive and other duties may be assigned.
Interact with and follow processes through the Truck Builder system to confirm results and ensure compliance with standard work instructions.
Follow written instructions with discipline to reduce potential assembly issues and performance/quality defects.
Perform work cycles lasting up to 4 hours staying in sequence and confirming completion of each process step before advancing the unit.
Utilize special equipment (torque tools DC tools brake bleeders AC chargers cab testers jib/overhead cranes quality testing equipment etc.).
Assemble parts wires hoses and hydraulics while using safe and proper tools/techniques; install accessories (decals mud flaps cameras lights).
Maintain a safe and clean work environment complying with safety rules procedures and 6S standards.
Assist in identifying and correcting back defects and drive preventative action implementation.
Minimum Qualifications:
6 months or more of relevant experience OR a high school diploma/equivalent.
Previous experience with basic hand tools.
Standout Qualifications:
Previous experience working in a manufacturing operations environment.
Previous experience with Pierce Assembly or working in the Pierce Frame Up department.

Assist co-workers with heavy lifting when needed.
Safely operate and use heavy equipment.
