ABOUT THIS ROLE
Shared Technology builds people-centric solutions that transform and accelerate the PEAK6 portfolio. We operate critical systems securely and efficiently while delivering reliable tools services and data-driven insights creating a unified technology experience across the firm.
As an IT Cloud Engineer on the Technical Operations team youll play a key role in shaping the employee experience across PEAK6. This role requires ownership strong problem-solving skills and creativity with a focus on cloud architecture infrastructure automation security and cost optimization. Youll help build and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure develop custom solutions and deliver high-impact projects through clear communication and collaboration in a fast-paced environment.
We place a strong emphasis on white-glove support so attention to detail urgency and strong technical intuition are critical to delivering high-quality solutions in a fast-paced environment
This is a hybrid role based out of PEAK6s Budapest Hungary office.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assisting with the implementation of integrations between critical cloud and SaaS technology solutions.
Collaborating with team members and leadership implementing significant support processes procedures and documentation.
Identifying opportunities for business enablement through intelligent use of cloud technology.
Monitoring cloud environments for performance availability and cost implementing optimizations and alerting where necessary.
Managing and enforcing cloud security best practices IAM policies and compliance requirements across all environments.
Managing supporting and provisioning business applications in a cloud-based environment.
Evaluating and recommending new cloud platforms services and tools.
Taking ownership of projects from inception through to delivery.
YOUR EXPERIENCE:
3 or more years of hands-on experience with cloud platforms with deep expertise in GCP and/or AWS; Azure familiarity a plus. Certifications strongly encouraged.
2 or more years of development experience in Python and/or PowerShell for scripting and automation.
Experience utilizing APIs to integrate custom solutions from SaaS offerings.
Experience with Okta or similar SSO and identity providers.
Experience with Atlassian tools such as Confluence and Jira.
Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
Experience working in an agile environment.
Experience with ticketing platforms.
Must be a proficient English speaker
