- Support and provide oversight for all regional Global Trade activities including import export duty savings and special trade program activities.
- Develop and implement internal controls relating to Baxters global trade activities in order to maintain a high standard of compliance with Customs and other government agency laws and regulations minimize the risk of penalty and fines due to non-compliance maximize opportunities for duty reduction and to provide Global Trade support for all Baxter entities.
- Help define strategic planning opportunities for trade operations maintain a dedicated high performing Global Trade team that effectively performs compliance activities and build relationships with facilities and/or country personnel to understand existing/future operations.
- Support & drive continuous improvement projects to ensure globally consistent best in class processes systems and standards.
- Keep abreast of all legislative and regulatory changes. Monitor regulations affecting international trade assess impact and communicate compliance and customs requirements to key stakeholders.
